The work was created during the lockdown in Padua, at the artist’s birthplace, during days that represented Italy’s deepest economic and social stasis. The crisis and the fear of losing loved ones were the most exhausting travail to face during those months. A sort of gymnastics of the lungs, an attempt in which art attempts to combat against our deepest fears. The artist recounts: “The stronger the thought, the more I strained my lungs to the point of pain.”
