The story teller is a playful figure of the popular and literary tradition, now vanished from contemporary diegesis. The artist, like a story teller, still enjoys himself creating paradisiacal narratives in his own studio that eliminate the antagonistic character from the plot. Stories, adapted to the current context, open new imaginative spaces, eliminating other classic narrative devices such as setting or “time”. Real characters and other fictional characters intertwine in an affabulatory canvas: singular characters, ambiguous sounds, small secrets of everyday life embedded in a fantasy context, produce a new reality in which the artist has an intradiegetic function: perhaps the narrator is also a character, the main one.
